F1 Singapore Night Race Track Overview

1500 sets of lighting systems are ready

For more than 60 years, F1 has been driving in the light. In the night of Singapore, the lighting will bring the darkness to the dark track with great momentum. The technology-rich track will feature an advanced special lighting system that costs more than $3 million and is four times brighter than any outdoor stadium. The total power is more than 3.2 million watts, 1485 bulbs, 2000 watts each, 12 power generator sets, 240 high-voltage cable towers and 1500 sets of lighting systems. The length of the wires only reaches 108,423 meters.
The lighting facilities also take into account the particularities of motorsport. The staff of the organizing committee said that the general street lights could not avoid the light and shadow produced by the high-speed racing car, which would create a blind spot in the driver's line of sight. After adopting this special lighting system, the driver will not create a blind spot when driving in any position. All areas of the track, including the buffer zone, will be covered by the lighting system, and the shadowless lights will be set to clear the blind spot for the driver. In order to cooperate with the global broadcast of the F1 event, the lighting system will also be placed on one side of the track and will be parallel to the TV camera to avoid problems caused by the reflection of the light.
Responding to the track lighting, the F1 race tire supplier Bridgestone also made fluorescent tires to ensure the driver's visibility at night.
The importance of fluoroelescent tires in every game is self-evident, how will it be dealt with in an unprecedented night race? The owner of Bridgestone tires said they used fluorescent paint on the surface of the tires. Moreover, this coating does not affect the characteristics of the tire. It is reported that there will be two kinds of fluorescent white and fluorescent yellow appearing in Singapore.
