LED packaging factory Hong Qi said that in terms of orders received in February, the market conditions are indeed a little better than in January, including capacity utilization and revenue, mainly IT. Orders have increased somewhat in terms of applications, but the overall situation is still relatively low. At present, the company continues to strengthen the development of auxiliary lighting related products, including NB keyboard backlight applications and lighting applications, will be the company's key development projects this year.
Hongqi's revenue in January this year was NT$120 million, and the average capacity utilization rate dropped to around 30%-40%. With the recent short-term knockout, Hong Qi pointed out that the capacity utilization rate has slightly increased, and it is expected that the revenue in February will rebound from January. But overall, the capacity utilization situation is only slightly higher than the previous water level, and it has not been significantly improved. In terms of quarterly, since the revenue in October last year was still at NT$260 million, the first quarter of this year's revenue will be more difficult to recover from the previous quarter.
Last year, mobile phone backlight applications accounted for about 60% of Hongqi's revenue, NB backlight related applications accounted for about 10% of Hongqi's revenue, and other consumer electronics and lighting applications accounted for about 30% of revenue. In terms of application areas, IT applications account for more than 80% of Hongqi's revenue. Other areas, including automotive and lighting, account for less than 20%.
However, Hong Qi stressed that LED lighting applications are the trend, and the company is actively doing this in this direction. Including NB keyboard backlight, auxiliary lighting products, etc., will be the key development projects of this year's Hongqi. As for low-temperature lighting, general indoor lighting, etc., due to the small market size, although Hongqi has developed related products, its performance is not very obvious.
