We have previously reported that the memory of AMD brand quietly landed on the OEM market. Now, we have learned that AMD is now ready to push AMD brand memory to the retail market after its own brand memory has been recognized by the OEM market.
AMD brand memory for the retail market has three models, including AMD Entertainment (Entertainment Edition) for the low-end market, DDR3-1333 specifications; AMD Performance (performance version) for the mid-range, multimedia and gaming market, DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 specifications AMD Radeon (ra) version for the high-end fever market, DDR3-1866.
All AMD brand memory capacities are 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. High-end AMD Radeon memory will be equipped with heat sinks, and AMD Entertainment and Performance memory are also equipped with heat sinks in some models.
It is not yet clear what AMD brand memory foundry makers are, but the outsiders push Patriot to OEM AMD brand memory. Patriot has been one of AMD's partners before. AMD brand memory release time and price to be determined.
