iPad still dominates the corporate tablet market

iPad still dominates the corporate tablet market The analysis agency ChangeWave Research has announced a new version of its corporate tablet application report. Although companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Dell have introduced their own tablet in recent months, compared to the previous survey conducted in August, the iPad was launched in November. The latest survey still occupies a dominant position.

According to the survey, 7% of the companies surveyed have issued flat-panel machines to their employees for work, which is a percentage increase from the previous survey. At present, 82% of tablet computers used by these companies are Apple iPads, followed by Hewlett-Packard Slate 500 and Dell Streak with 11% and 7% respectively.

Of the companies that have used tablet computers, 69% are very satisfied with the iPad and 28% are generally satisfied. This satisfaction result is also significantly higher than HP and Dell tablet products.

Compared to the previous survey, corporate users have also expanded the range of tablet applications, especially the iPad, and applied them more to Internet access, corporate email processing, and commuting on the go.

Looking ahead, 14% of the respondents plan to purchase and use the tablet in the first quarter of next year, which is twice as high as the current application. There is no major change in the form of competition among manufacturers. 78% of companies still plan to purchase the iPad, followed by Dell 9%, RIM BlackBerry 9%, HP 8%, and Samsung 4%.
