    Taiwan's LED chip maker Epistar said that the shortage of LED chips will continue until 2012, the company said it plans to increase its LED chip capacity by 40% next year. Another LED chip maker, Formosa Epitaxy, plans to increase the total number of MOCVD machines to 50 next year, and believes that the supply of global LED chips will continue to be tight next year.
