Light high voltage transformer calculation formula for transformer

Calculate the transformer according to the power of the idea, the required voltage to find the number of turns per volt and the wire diameter.

The small and medium-sized transformers use power to find the core (coil part) cross-sectional area:

S=1.25×root number P

(S = core cross section: Cm2, P = power: W)

Number of turns per volt:

N=4.5×100000/(Bg×S)

(Bg=iron core permeability, generally selected between 6000 and 12000 Gauss, when the core permeability is not checked, generally the magnetic core permeability is selected near 10000 Gauss in recent years)

When the magnetic permeability is 10000 Gauss, the formula is simplified as:

N=45/S

When calculating the wire diameter, the primary and secondary currents are calculated according to the power and then the wire diameter is obtained.

Seeking current:

I=P/U

Find the wire diameter:

D=1.13×root number (I/δ)

(D = line diameter: Mm2, δ = current density: 2.5 ~ 3A, generally take 2.5A)
