Daimler's MyTaxi taxi business will merge with Hailo to fight Uber

In the early morning of July 26th, US time, according to Reuters, three sources reported that Daimler will merge its MyTaxi taxi software with its British rival Hailo to jointly fight against Uber and maintain European positions. This merger transaction will be the earliest Officially announced on Tuesday, US time.

Today's online booking service market is dominated by emerging technology companies such as Uber, and traditional car manufacturers have also joined the fight for the market. Earlier this year, Volkswagen had injected $300 million into Britain's Gett, and General Motors injected $500 million into the United States' Lyft. They are all taxi applications.

Hailo was established at the end of 2010, has a good market share in the UK and Ireland markets, but has been frustrated in the North American and Japanese markets, has been looking for new investors, there have been rumors that Didi will invest in Hailo.
