How to design the lighting of a simple place

With the changes of the times and the improvement of people's material living standards, the general public's demands for spiritual life are getting higher and higher. The state is actively promoting the construction of a public cultural service system, and various grassroots mass cultural activities are also booming. Among them, cultural performances are an important form to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people.
For the lighting industry, this kind of grass-roots performances often have some scratching problems. The venues for such performances are generally not standardized theaters, but some simple performance venues such as old-fashioned theaters, old-fashioned urban halls, and low-rise business units. At this time, how to design the lighting according to the actual situation, how to complete the lighting system construction of the variety show in these non-standard and simple places, all need lighting workers to implement according to the scene. This article is the author's lighting design experience in the simple venues of the performance, for the reference of colleagues.
1 Case 1: The First Farmers' Art Festival in Chun'an County
Recently, Chun'an County held the first peasant art festival at the County Film Theater. The Zhao'an County Film Theater is a theater built in the 1970s. The mouth is 13m wide, the platform is 6m high, the inner width is 17m, and the depth is 12m. Today, its structural design and infrastructure are already lagging behind, and there are many flaws. For example, there is no single boom in the entire theater, there is no way to install the luminaire; the bridge is too steep – more than 60°; the height and width of the pedestal are not enough. The lamp position map and the real scene view are shown in Figures 1 and 2, respectively. Under the existing basic conditions, in order to better play the lighting performance and achieve the effect of the performance, the lighting designer is required to design according to the site conditions.

How can you increase the visual effect of the mouthpiece on such a stage with a fixed table?
solution:
(1) All the banners and the large screens on both sides are closed;
(2) Install 2 color curtains on both sides as a secondary background;
(3) Retreat the first color curtain to 3m from the mouth of the station and extend to the side of the stage for 1m.
But the stage has great flaws in its depth. The actor's string channel is 1.5m; the thickness of a display base is 1.2m, the platform in front of the display is 1.2m, and the total depth is 2.4m. The height of the stage is only 8.1m after removing the first two. How to make The 40 actors and actor in the same field can display freely, which is a problem we have considered. After final consideration, a 12m truss (450mm × 450mm) was used, which was combined into a flat shape with three pairs of 7m high columns and four 14m wide beams. Use its width to divide the light into:
(1) 4 lanes of backlight, each consisting of 12 LED lights;
(2) 3 high side lights on each side, each consisting of 3 LED lights;
(3) 3 middle and low side lights on each side, each consisting of 4 LED lights (edit 6 address codes to facilitate the stereo effect and time and space effect of people and objects);
(4) 4 effect lights, each consisting of 6 beam lights;
(5) On the first side light, three beam lights on each side make the side effect light (enhance the stereoscopic effect of the beam);
(6) In front of the display at the bottom of the stage, use 4 beam lights and 3 stage beam lights on each side to make the effect light on the stage surface;
(7) 6 pattern lights are interspersed in the middle two beams to make spot light (because the stage depth is not enough, the last beam is fixed in the upper part of the big screen, it is too inconvenient to use due to the position);
(8) Install 24 PAR 64 lamps on the surface bridge to make surface light;
(9) Slap the side with 8 PAR lamps in the building, add 12 PAR lights to each of the 1st and 2nd beams to make the top light, supplement the lack of surface light;
(10) Use four four-eye lights on the first beam to make the audience lighting.
The reasons for choosing this method are as follows:
(1) The truss is easy to install, has good adjustable performance, low cost and small floor space;
(2) The distribution is well-arranged;
(3) No need for lifting points, and the requirements for infrastructure construction are low;
(4) The theater span is not large and is completely within the design scope;
(5) The lamp is easy to install, can be installed on the ground, does not need to work at height, safe and convenient;
(6) The column can be used to make side light;
(7) The lamp position is comprehensive and safe.
Face light solution: In addition to installing the surface light on the original surface bridge, add two slaps in the chasing position on both sides of the theater's building.
After the above installation design, the performance lighting achieved good results. The performance site is shown in Figure 3.

2 Case 2: The first Spring Festival party in Sikou Village
The first Spring Festival Gala of Sikou Village, Xixi Town, Yongkang City was held recently. The venue was a vintage conference hall in the 1960s, as shown in Figure 4. The stage of the hall is 8m wide, 4m high, 11m wide, 9m deep and 5m high. However, there are many cross-shaped beams on the wooden structure, and the lowest position is only 4m. It also has many drawbacks, such as no installation of lighting fixtures at all, and no place to install the surface light. At the same time, the stage removes the actor's string channel 1.5m, a display screen (because there is a promotional film, the display must be retained), the base thickness is 0.8m, and the actual usable depth of the stage is only 6.7m. Therefore, the way in which the luminaires are installed is a key consideration for lighting designers.

If a 400mm×400mm truss is used, the flat shape will be flat. Due to its thickness, the original height of the stage will be 4m, minus 0.3m of the truss hoist, the beam thickness is 0.4m, and only 3.2m high. Imagine that the actor is 1.8m tall, standing on the stage and raising his hand can be about 2.5m high, so the stage will become very depressed, the actor can't do the jumping action, and the props can't be displayed, so it can only be in the form of a light wall. .
Considering that the layer is too wide, the cost is high, and the budget is limited, the three-layer scaffolding is finally adopted. Each floor is fixed by two steel pipes, and three light pipes are used to make three light poles. The lamp greatly reduces the cost. In the face light, a 6 m steel pipe is suspended under the beam as a surface light frame, and then fixed by an aircraft belt. On both sides of the stage, a starry curtain is used to extend the visual extension of the sense of depth. After the installation, the lighting effect of the performance is well guaranteed.
3 Case 3: A corporate culture festival
A group company's first corporate culture festival held a performance, the performance venue is a conference room, the data is: hall height 3.6m, stage height 0.6m, width 15m, depth 6m, platform mouth width 8m, height 3.2m. Its condition is far from the regular performance venue, there is no installation of lighting facilities, and there is no location for installing the surface light.
In such a small stage, minus a display (because there is a promotional film, the display must be retained) the thickness of the base is 0.8m, and the actual usable depth of the stage is only 5.2m. How to install the luminaire is a key issue.
There are three design schemes:
Option 1: Select a truss of 400mm × 400mm, using the usual practice. However, as analyzed in Case 2, due to the thickness of the truss, the original height of the stage is 3.2m, minus 0.3m of truss hoist and 0.4m of beam thickness. The stage is only 2.5m high, the actors can't perform, and there is no way to display the props. . Option 1 was denied.
Option 2: In the form of a light wall, considering that the layer is too wide, the cost is high. Also cannot be used due to height and depth. put

Option 3: Select the truss with a column-shaped lamp holder, and add a 0.8m×0.8m 20mm thick iron plate as a fixed function under the truss to ensure the lamp on the column.

Finally, the third option was chosen to ensure the smooth performance of the performances.
Summarizing the work experience in the past few years, the author believes that in indoor places, the selection of lighting frames generally has the following rules:
(1) In the case of a high floor environment (5m or more) and a small span (less than 14m), the 450mm×450mm truss can be basically considered as the basic equipment, which is convenient and practical.
(2) In the case that the floor is lower than 5m higher than 3.8m, the span is small (less than 6m), and the depth is allowed, 220mm×220mm truss can be considered; if the span is large, it is generally considered that the lighting wall is more suitable. Safety, if the conditions are not allowed, you can also consider the combination of scaffolding and steel pipe.
(3) When the floor is less than 3m, it can only be considered to use the truss in the form of a column, and a 0.8m×0.8m 20mm thick iron plate is used as a fixing function under the truss. Under the premise of ensuring the safety of the column, Make up for the shortfall.
