LCD screen viewing angle

The viewing angle refers to the angle at which the user can clearly observe all the contents on the screen from different directions. Since the light source providing the liquid crystal display has a certain directionality when it is output after being refracted and reflected, viewing beyond this range will cause color distortion, and the CRT TV will not have this problem.

The viewing angle of the LCD TV includes two indicators of the horizontal viewing angle and the vertical viewing angle. The horizontal viewing angle indicates that the vertical normal line of the display (ie, the vertical imaginary line in the middle of the display) prevails, and is perpendicular to the normal line. The square or right angle can still see the normal display image. This angle range is the horizontal viewing angle of the liquid crystal display. Similarly if the horizontal normal line prevails, the upper and lower viewing angles are called vertical viewing angles. . In general, the viewing angle is based on the change in contrast. When the viewing angle is increased, the contrast of the display image seen at this position will decrease, and when the angle is increased to a certain degree and the contrast ratio drops to 10:1, this angle is the maximum viewing angle of the liquid crystal display.

The viewing angles of LCD TVs currently on the market are symmetrical, but they are not necessarily symmetrical at the top and bottom, and often the up and down angles are smaller than the left and right angles. When we say that the viewing angle is 80 degrees left and right, it means that the screen image can still be clearly seen when standing at a position 80 degrees from the normal of the screen (the imaginary line in the middle of the display). The larger the viewing angle, the better the viewing angle, and the more applicable the LCD display. At present, most products on the market have a viewing angle of more than 120 degrees, and some products have reached 140 degrees or more.
