According to the latest statistics released by the market research company DisplaySearch, due to tight supply, LCD panel prices in the second half of November began to rise, while TV panel prices continued to decline, and the price of notebook panels was relatively stable.

This year, the supply of LCD panels has become tense. This is more evident in the 17-inch, 18.5-inch and 19-inch widescreen models.

Although the demand for displays is not very high, considering that the space for panel prices has not fallen, many OEMs have begun ordering panels to prepare for the shipment of their products in the fourth quarter; on the other hand, they are due to the profits from the production of display panels. Not enough, many manufacturers are also worried that panel makers will give priority to the supply of TV panels early next year, leading to the display supply chain imbalance. In addition, the shipment of monitor panels at the end of the shopping season will have a great impact on the prices of future display panels.

The price of LCD TV panels continues to decline, among which the decline of LED-backlit panel panels exceeds that of CCFL models, and the high inventory is still a big problem for TV manufacturers.

Due to the fact that the demand for the TV market in Mainland China still does not show a rapid growth trend, the shipments of domestic TV manufacturers have not significantly improved. This point is also reflected in the North American market. In order to compete for the market, the price wars of TV manufacturers have already started before Black Friday.

On the whole, the price pressure on LCD TV panels is still under pressure, but it is not as big as in the third quarter. In order to keep orders, panel makers will continue to conduct spot transactions with their television customers.
