The latest progress in Tesla murder: U.S. Department of Transportation Safety says Model S speeding

Since Tesla created the world’s first autopilot case and was investigated by various departments, VW has been paying attention to the latest progress of the investigation.

Yesterday, the United States highway safety investigation department issued a preliminary investigation report showing that the Model S car at that time was in an overspeed state. However, the report did not explain the possible reasons. A preliminary report from the US Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) showed that in the event of a car accident, the Model S has a speed of 74 miles per hour (approximately 119 kilometers) and the road speed limit is 65 miles.

NTSB spokesman Christopher O'Neil said:

Speeding alone is not the cause of the accident, but it may be one of the reasons. All aspects of the accident have yet to be investigated.

He said that the department will usually publish the final report one year after the initial report.

Jack Landskroner, the attorney of the driver’s family, said:

The survey results are preliminary and the investigation is still ongoing.

Surveys of the Freeway Patrol Department in Florida continue. The police currently have no plans to institute criminal proceedings against truck drivers. Local police officer Kim Montes said that the police are still considering whether to issue a summons to the truck driver.

Tesla has not yet responded to this.
