The latest plan is that Shenzhen's TD-LTE will cover the main urban areas of Shenzhen and densely populated areas of various administrative regions. Before the end of the year, TD-LTE base stations will increase significantly from the existing 300 to 3,000. Hangzhou plans to build 2,000 base stations by the end of the year.

It is reported that China Mobile plans to build about 20,000 4G base stations this year. Next year, through the construction and smooth upgrade of 3G, the scale of 4G base stations will exceed 200,000.
Currently, 40 operators worldwide have joined China Mobile's Global TD-LTE Development Initiative (GTI), and five have launched commercial services.
