Adding to an already broad and innovative portfolio of surface mount packaged High Power LEDs, Everlight Electronics introduces the "Shuen" Series - its most powerful and brightest LED series in a slim ceramic package.
The Shuen package is a surface-mount high-power device offering high brightness in a compact form factor, making it suitable for various lighting applications including general illumination as well as, flash, spot, signal, industrial and commercial lighting. It is well known that the benefit of LED devices are their environmental friendliness, energy savings, reliability and long life. The Shuen series exhibits all these advantages while providing high efficiency luminous output. The life-time of the Shuen series as well as other LEDs is defined as the percentage of initial light output remaining after a specified period of time. Shuen colors of cool-white, neutral-white, warm-white, green, cyan, blue , and royal-blue colors average 65,000 hours for 70% lumen maintenance (B50 L70) under 350mA operating current. This projection is based on constant current operation wit h Shu junction temperature maintenance at or below 135 ° C. Other Shuen series colors like red, orange, amber, and royal-red also average 65,000 hours for 70% lumen maintenance (B50 L70) under 350mA operating current, but this projection is based on constant Current operation with junction temperature maintenance at or below 110 °C.
The Shuen series meets the European Union directives on the restriction of hazardous substances in electronic equipment - ie the RoHS directive.
