Surface or will become the top priority for the 2016 display market

Lifting a curved TV, many people will naturally think of Samsung. However, for Samsung, which has a complete flat-panel display industry chain, it is naturally not enough just to focus on the TV field. At this year’s Samsung China Forum, Samsung’s display device marketing director Tan Gong accepts digital interviews with NetEase. Once again, it is emphasized that the "curved surface" in 2016 will be the top priority of the entire display market.

From the product structure point of view, 2016 Samsung surface display lineup includes two series of CF390F, CF391F, CF591F, etc., in the end of March there will be a new product release, together to form a complete coverage from the entry level to the high-end market Product lineup.

Secondly, from the perspective of the product itself, this year's display products all have a more slender appearance. For example, the entry-level CF390F has a body thickness of only 11.9 mm, and the CF591F has a slimmer body thickness of 9.9 mm. The curvature of the 1800R can prevent the color of the new Smart Crystal technology, high contrast, and support for AMD FreeSync technology, allowing users to balance both performance and aesthetic pursuits.

Tan Gong said that the polarization trend of the current consumer market is becoming increasingly apparent, and some high-end consumers have higher requirements for monitor audio, video games, and office functions. The low-priced products of the traditional display industry cannot meet the needs of this group of people. Samsung is aiming at the trend of escalation of consumer demand, combining its own advantages in upstream display panel and terminal product development, introducing curved surface products with unique and differentiated competitive selling points into the market, and receiving a good response. It is reported that in July 2015, Samsung’s 100,000th curved display was offline at its own factory in Tianjin, and it took only less than a year to achieve this figure. It also proves that the market’s strong demand for curved products is Objective and true.

Looking at the current global display market, conventional display products are gradually approaching scale and standardization. The products produced by various companies are similar, which is the “new normal” faced by the industry. The Chinese market is also facing this problem. Under the new normal, the development of the display industry is based only on products, and with the added value of wings, it is the right direction to embrace tomorrow.
