The "Magic Textbook" is based on an identifiable image that calculates the target recognition point when it is scanned by the mobile phone. When the camera of the mobile phone matches the target recognition point, a 3D model will be displayed on the screen of our mobile phone.
Lu Hanlin, a member of the research team at Tongji University, said that this "magic textbook" was inspired by the three-dimensional model of architecture. Previously they were studying architecture-related courses because textbooks were black and white, and some of the pictures were vague and obscure. In order to better understand these three-dimensional models, they have to find similar three-dimensional models on the Internet, which is very troublesome and time consuming. Therefore, after they have contacted and understood the AR technology, they are based on the current AR technology to transform the knowledge in textbooks, hoping to let users learn knowledge in a more intuitive and simple way.
It is understood that "Magic Textbook" has positioned users in young people and young children, and has completed AR test courses and customized "Harry Potter" picture book development. The user only has to point the phone camera at the picture of Peter's Cathedral, and the screen will show an exquisite 3D church.
