Test standard for battery charge and discharge

Charging

1. Check if the battery is intact and record the battery number. Turn on the charging device when charging is available.

2. Wear insulated gloves and prepare tools with insulation protection to prevent electric shock during work.

3. Use GF type valve-controlled maintenance-free lead-acid battery. When charging, it should be charged by constant voltage current limiting charging method.

4. When charging, put the three-phase AC power supply of the charging cabinet, press the button switch of the charging module of the charging cabinet, start the charging module, and the device enters the working state.

5. The charging cabinet system automatically runs the charging program according to the working condition of the battery, and controls the charger to uniformly charge or float the battery, so that the battery is always running at the optimal state.

6. The automatic charging procedure is as follows: When the power is turned on, the system controls the charger to be in a floating state, and simultaneously counts and monitors the battery current. When the continuous floating time reaches the set time or the battery current is greater than or equal to 5% C10Ah (A), the system automatically controls the charger to enter the equalizing state. When the battery current is less than 5% C10Ah (A), the timing starts. After the set time is reached, the system controls the charger to switch to the floating state.

7. During the automatic charging process of the charging cabinet system, you can also manually set the equalizing or floating charging status. After the setting, the system continues to run the automatic charging program.

8. The battery steady flow value can be set in the system according to the battery capacity. Due to the limited adjustment range, the following formula should be followed when setting this value:

I output steady flow value = I set steady current value

9. Under the condition of ambient temperature of 25 °C, the optimal charging of 2V battery is 2.27V/only. The current should be limited to 0.25 x C10 (A) at the beginning of charging.

10. Before the charging, the battery is recorded once by the multimeter. The difference between the actual and the monitored voltage is measured. It should be measured and recorded every 1~2 hours later.

11. During the charging process, if an individual battery is found, the voltage difference between the terminals is greater than +0.10 volts, and the battery should be charged to make the balanced voltage of the whole battery balanced.

12. Balanced charging adopts low voltage and constant voltage method, the charging voltage is 2.35~2.40V/only, and each battery is required to be fully charged and balanced. If the individual batteries cannot reach normal after the balanced charging, they should be charged separately and normalized before they can be used together with the battery pack.

13. When the entire battery pack is charged, the charging device can be put into normal operation.

Discharge

1. The discharge is a constant current method.

2. Connect the external discharge circuit and configure the appropriate monitoring meter and discharge resistor.

3. The current of the discharge current does not exceed 10 hours. That is, the discharge current is controlled at 20A. The discharge amount should be more than 80% of the rated capacity.

4. During discharge, the current, total voltage, voltage and temperature of each battery should be measured and recorded every 1 to 2 hours. The voltage of a single battery must not be lower than 1.80 volts.

5. If there are too many batteries, only the marked battery can be measured, but in the whole discharge process, it should be measured 2~3 times. Special records should be made for batteries with a faster voltage drop.

6. If the voltage of the battery is abnormally dropped during discharge, the situation should be ascertained and processed. If the capacity is low, it should be replaced.

7. After the end of the discharge, the battery will be charged and cannot be put on hold. The charging method is carried out according to the above charging method until the battery is fully charged, and the battery pack can be put into normal operation.
