Editor's note: Cree announces the launch of their new XLamp XP-E and XP-C LEDs, as well as a new standard for lighting LED products. These breakthrough products from Cree are the smallest of the lighting LED products, and the package is compressed to 80%. They provide the same high quality lighting as Cree XR-E and XR-C LED products, and reliability has been proven.
The new XLamp LEDs have been measured to occupy only 3.45 square millimeters x 2 mm of space. The existing XLamp XP-E LEDs wide box includes a cool white (5000 K - 10000 K) with a minimum of 350 mA and 100 lumens and a warm white (2600 K - 3700 K) with 350 mA 80.6 lumens. Due to their small size, low profile, wide viewing angle, and symmetrical packaging, they can be applied to backlight patterns, indoor and outdoor, and portable lighting.
