Introduction

The electric planer is a hand-held power tool that uses a single-phase series-excited motor to drive a planer to perform planing. It has the characteristics of high production efficiency, smooth and smooth surface. Widely used in housing construction, housing decoration, woodworking workshops, field woodworking operations and vehicles, ships, bridge construction, etc., for all kinds of wood plane cutting, chamfering and cutting operations.

The electric planer has two structures: direct drive and indirect drive. The direct drive type is that the planer is directly mounted on the output shaft of the motor, and the indirect drive type is that the output shaft of the motor drives the cutter shaft through the nylon.

The electric planer consists of an electric motor, a knife cavity structure, a planing depth adjustment mechanism, a handle, a switch, and a non-reconnectable plug.

This series of electric planers adopts double insulation structure. The electric planer casing and the handle are integrally molded by plastic, and the plastic casing is double insulated as the additional insulation of the stator core and the additional insulation of the rotor core to the ground.

The knife cavity structure has upper and lower layers, and the upper layer is a chip evacuation chamber, and the cooling wind of the motor fan performs chip removal.

The planing depth adjustment mechanism is composed of an adjustment handle, a anti-loose spring, a front bottom plate, etc., and the adjustment handle is screwed to move the front bottom plate up and down to adjust the planing depth.

The motor output shaft drives the nylon drive belt to drive the planer on the cutter shaft for planing.

The power cord is a double-core sheathed flexible cable, which is integrated with the double-column rubber plug to form a non-reconnectable plug.

Preparation before starting

1. The workpiece must be clamped on the fixture or workbench. The pressure plate that clamps the workpiece must not grow out of the workbench. It is not allowed to stand in the maximum stroke of the machine. The tool must not be extended too long and should be securely clamped.

2. When calibrating the workpiece, it is strictly forbidden to use metal objects to knock or push the workpiece with the knife holder.

3. When the width of the workpiece exceeds the processing width of the single-arm planer, the offset of the center of gravity to the center of gravity of the table should not be greater than one quarter of the width of the table.

4. Adjust the stroke so that the tool does not touch the workpiece. Use the handle to shake for the full stroke test. After the ram is adjusted, it should be locked and the rocker handle should be removed at any time to avoid falling.

5. When the bed surface or workpiece of the planer is extended too long, protective railings shall be provided, and pedestrians or stacking items shall be prohibited in the railings.

6. Before planing large workpieces, the planer should check the reserved space between the workpiece and the gantry column and the tool holder, and check whether the workpiece height limiter is installed correctly and securely.

7. It is forbidden to stand, store tools and other items on the work surface and bed surface of the gantry planer. Operators must not cross the countertop.

8. The force acting on the handle of the bullhead planer should not exceed 8kg when moving horizontally on the table. When moving up and down, it should not exceed 10kg.

9. When loading and unloading the workpiece, you should pay attention to sharp edges and burrs.

Precautions during operation

1. Within the range of the planing stroke, no one is allowed to stand before or after. It is not allowed to observe the cutting part and the tool before the head and hand are extended to the head of the bull. Before the machine is stopped, it is not allowed to measure the workpiece or remove the chips.

2, the amount of knife and the amount of feed should be appropriate, the planer should be slowly approached to the workpiece before entering the knife.

3. The planer must be operated before the knife or the knife is fed. When the planer is to stop running, the planer should be removed from the workpiece.

4. When the running speed is stable, the temperature rise of the sliding bearing should not exceed 60 °C. The temperature rise of the rolling bearing should not exceed 80 °C.

5. When the stroke adjustment of the planer table is carried out, it must be stopped. The maximum amount of both ends should not be less than 0.45m.

6. Always check the fixing of the tool and workpiece and whether the operation of each part of the machine is normal.

Downtime considerations

1. If you find that the ram is warming too high, the reversing impact sound or the oscillation of the stroke is abnormal or sudden stop, you should immediately cut off the power and exit the tool for inspection, adjustment, repair, etc.

2. After the machine is stopped, the head ram or the gantry planer and the tool holder should be returned to the specified position.

Pay attention to safety when using it (when there are metal objects such as nails on the wood, it needs to be removed before use).
