Stainless steel cable tray selection design steps

1. Determine environmental conditions. There are generally three environmental conditions, one is corrosive environment; the other is the general environment, that is, the normal environment; the third is the special environment.

2. Determine the direction. According to the general layout plan, combined with the specific conditions of process pipeline, water pipeline, steam pipeline, etc., determine the optimal path of the cable tray. Indoors, it can be walked along walls, columns, beams, slabs and steel structures; it can be erected as far as possible along the side of the process pipe rack. If there is no process pipe rack, it can only be self-supporting.

3. Calculate the load. Calculate the total mass of the unit length cable on the striker section of the stainless steel cable tray and make it less than the allowable load. However, the following different voltages or cables for different purposes should not be laid on the same cable tray:

1) Cables above 1kv and below 1kv;

2) Two-way power cable that supplies power to the primary load from the same path;

3) Cables for emergency lighting and other lighting;

4) Strong and weak electric cables.

If it is subject to conditions, it must be installed on the same bridge and separated by a partition.

4. Install the level of the cable tray and the distance between the layers. The cable trays are arranged in order from top to bottom: computer cable, shielded cable, general control cable, low voltage power cable, high voltage power cable, and UHV power cable. This arrangement not only helps to shield interference, cools the cable but also facilitates construction. When the cable tray is multi-professional and multi-level erected, in order to facilitate the cable exchange, the interlayer distance of the cable tray should be checked to ensure that when multiple cables are laid on the same bracket, the cables can be moved and replaced inside and outside. Generally, the hierarchical distance of cable bridge cables of each layer is: control cable ≥200mm; power cable ≥300mm; mechanized laying cable ≥400mm.

5. Determine the fixing method of the cable tray. Determine how the cable tray is secured, depending on the cable orientation and the environment in which it is installed. Such as: hanging type, vertical type, side wall type, hybrid type, etc., both hanging type and vertical type can be fixed by one side or double side.

6. Choose a stainless steel cable tray. According to the installation environment of the cable tray, the load of the cable and the load curve of the cable tray, the type and specification of the bridge, the spacing of the columns, the length of the arm, the level of the bridge and the length of the column are determined. All types of bending and attachment specifications shall be suitable for engineering layout conditions and shall be matched with pallets and ladder frames. The specifications of the supports and hangers shall be configured according to the conditions of the pallet, ladder frame size, span and other conditions, and shall meet the load requirements. In fact, the connectors and fasteners are complete, and once the connectors are determined, the fasteners are determined.

7. Select the stainless steel cable tray cover.

8. Draw a plan layout and section view of the cable tray. It is best to draw a schematic diagram of the space layout and list the materials.
