Taiwanese manufacturers claim Intel Ivy Bridge processor released in April

The bulk shipments of the Ivy Bridge processor were originally reported to be delayed by eight weeks, but Intel responded that the Ivy Bridge was only delayed for several weeks and that processor production would follow the current plan.

However, sources said that Intel has adjusted the production capacity of the Ivy Bridge processor and increased the proportion of shipments to ultrabooks and smartphone platforms. For the traditional desktop and notebook markets, Intel will initially provide high-end processors.

As manufacturers are vigorously placing orders for the procurement of Ultrabook Ivy Bridge processors, some manufacturers expect to launch the second generation of ultrabooks as early as May, and the price can be reduced to 799 US dollars to 899 US dollars.

Sources said that by the end of this year, Ultrabook will account for 15% to 20% of all consumer notebook shipments, increasing to 40% in 2013 and over 50% by the end of 2013.
