I encountered an issue with a Changhong LCD TV model LED32B2080 where the red light doesn't turn on, and pressing the standby button has no response. After disassembling the power supply board, I checked the voltages of all lines and found them to be normal. The output from each linear regulator on the main board also appeared to be fine. However, when pressing the standby button, there was no start signal generated.
Initially, I suspected a memory data issue. I removed the 25Q32 memory chip and attempted to rewrite the data, but during the erase process, it completed instantly, yet the verification showed that the memory wasn’t empty. I’m not sure if there’s a write protection or a hardware problem with the chip.
To test further, I found a 25Q64 chip from a notebook motherboard, re-downloaded the data, and replaced the original 25Q32. The TV turned on successfully, but the image was inverted. After writing new data and booting again, everything worked properly.
While searching for the correct data, I noticed that there's very little information available for this specific model. I ended up downloading data from other models and matching it with the screen model (M320X12-E7-AD). Now, the data is working correctly, so I can share the functional data. This indicates that the model is compatible and user-friendly. I recommend following similar steps to find the right data for your unit.
