China's LED driver power companies are highly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta region for two main reasons:
1. The upstream and downstream industry chains are relatively complete. The downstream of the LED driver power industry is mainly the LED application industry. According to the statistics of the High-tech LED Industry Research Institute, there are currently more than 6,000 LED application companies in China, and nearly 4,000 are distributed in the Pearl River Delta, accounting for 66%; while in the upstream raw materials, the driver Raw materials such as ICs, electrolytic capacitors, transformers and PCB boards are also concentrated in the Pearl River Delta region. 2. Chinese traditional power companies are also mainly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta. According to the investigation of the High-tech LED Industry Research Institute, although the LED drive power technology is different from the traditional power supply, the principle is basically unchanged. Many domestic LED driver power companies are developing from traditional power companies. LED drive power companies such as Maoshuo Power Supply, Jingchen Electronics, and Ruigu Technology, whose current business is based on traditional power supplies, LED is only part of its business. The attractive prospects of the LED industry will enable more and more traditional power industries to enter LEDs.
From the perspective of urban distribution, Shenzhen is the city with the largest number of LED drive power companies, accounting for 61% of the total. Shenzhen is also a leading city for LED drive power technology. Maoshuo Power has become the first company in China to market with LED drive power as its main business. Its technology and scale are in the leading position in the country. In addition, Shenzhen Leifford, Ruigu, Changyuntong, Jingchen and other well-known enterprises are located in Shenzhen. Secondly, Zhuhai, LED drive power companies accounted for 9% of the total number of the country, well-known enterprises are Zhuhai Jinxing, Zhuhai Huaju, Zhuhai Yinghua and so on. The third-ranked city is Guangzhou, accounting for 5%, and well-known companies include Guangzhou Mingwei and Guangzhou Guanjin. Next are Foshan, Shanghai, Dongguan, Zhongshan, and Changzhou.
