Stone Bending and Folding Machine
First, the scope of application:
This folding machine is designed for testing the bending strength of natural facing stone in both dry and water-saturated conditions. It complies with GB/T 9966.2-2001 and GB/T 19766-2005 standards, covering equipment, measuring tools, test specimens, procedures, result calculations, and reporting. It is also used for abrasion testing of stone surfaces.
Second, the test procedures:
Dry State Bending Strength Test:
1. Dry the sample in an oven at 5°C ± 2°C for 24 hours, then cool it in a desiccator to room temperature.
2. Adjust the support distance within ±1.0mm. Place the specimen between the upper and lower brackets according to the fulcrum marking. Typically, the decorative surface should be in tension, so place it face down on the support.
3. Apply a load at a rate of 1800 N ± 50 N per minute until failure. Record the breaking load (F) with precision to 10N.
4. Measure the width (K) and thickness (H) of the fracture surface using a vernier caliper, accurate to 0.1 mm.
Water-Saturated Bending Strength Test:
1. Immerse the sample in clean water at 20°C ± 2°C for 48 hours. Remove it, wipe off surface moisture with a damp cloth, and test immediately.
2. Adjust the support distance within ±1.0mm. Place the specimen between the brackets as marked. Again, ensure the decorative side is in tension by placing it face down.
3. Apply a load at 1800 N ± 50 N per minute until the specimen breaks. Record the breaking load (F), accurate to 10N.
4. Measure the fracture surface dimensions (K and H) using a vernier caliper, accurate to 0.1 mm.
