March 23 news, according to technology website BGR reported, a recent recruitment notice shows that RIM is hiring experienced iOS application developers, may seek to enter the iOS application market. It is reported that RIM requires applicants with 7 to 10 years of programming experience and at least two years of work experience to "architect, design, develop, and test complex applications for the iPhone and iPad" on the iOS/Objective-C platform architecture. "Writing IOS applications, candidates must be able to prove the app from the App Store and they have already written interviews.
Although it is not yet clear why RIM is looking for professional developers on the iOS platform, this move shows that they may be interested in modifying some proprietary applications for the Apple iOS system. RIM had planned to migrate its popular BlackBerry Messenger application to Android and iOS.
As of now, the recruitment notice has been deleted, RIM spokesman declined to comment.
